Hello Dreamwidth!
Well, I've not exactly jumped ship from LJ, but I think Dreamwidth looks extremely promising. When I have time I'll be messing around with customization and taking a look at the import feature that is being highly touted on lj. I wonder how well it works with edits.
Anyway, if nothing else I think this will be useful as a backup for my stories and reviews. If enough of my lj friends come over here, I might even switch to DW as my primary account. After all, anyone else can still comment with openid. The only downfall I can see is the abreviation DW which is going to make it difficult to know when I'm talking about Dreamwidth and when I'm fangirling for Doctor Who. ; )
It's nice and familiar looking, which is comforting as well.
I also think it's worth noting that while I've had a livejournal for years (and remember well some of the great scares and dramas of LJ), this is the first time I've bothered to make an account at any other blogging site. InsaneJournal, GreatestJournal, Xanga, Blogger, I've had friends who jumped ship to all of these, and most ended up jumping right back again. DW appears to have much more staying power. Let's hope it doesn't get burned out!
